Is it a problem with your employees? Is there something amiss in the products or services that you provide to customers? Or is it a problem with some or all of the inherent organizational and management processes in your business? Now is the time to really know what is going on in your business. Be man enough to accept responsibility for it. You are the captain of your ship, after all.

Prioritize Human Needs

If you can make an emotional and compelling appeal to your employees, you might just be able to pull off some miracle. Instead of hiring experts from the outside, try to determine if you have an employee who is a problem-solver and who is highly disciplined. Try to develop their competencies a lot further. Create short mentorship programs to develop talents in your business. Of course, you have to convince your employees first that they can be these ideal employees that you are thinking of.

Like the ship sailing on rough seas, you must be able to rely on your crew to work more efficiently through the storm. You can only do this if there is open communication and they trust you enough that they are willing to do more than what is expected of them to save the sinking business.
